However, rather than featuring circular pupils, they have realistic vertically aligned diamond-shaped (rhombus) pupils which are sometimes also referred to as slitted pupils or hellish pupils.

Boasting some of the most unique eyes in the animal world, the vertical pupils seen in domestic cats have inspired the eyes of a whole host of characters from TV shows, movies, and even video games. However, these distinctive diamond-shaped pupils aren’t just the reserve of cats and fictious characters, they can also be found in some reptilians and even humans who suffer from a rare condition known as Cat Eye Syndrome (CES).

Designed to replicate these cat-like eyes in their various forms, and ideal for use in cosplay, at Halloween, or even the cat eye makeup trend, we stock an extensive range in colours like red, blue, white, orange, and green. This range also incorporates pixel perfect options for specific characters. For example, our aqua cat contacts have been designed to mirror the eyes of the shape-shifting feline from Alice In Wonderland (2010) and Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016). UV-reactive cats eye contact lenses

We’ve even combined some of our bestselling cats eye contact designs with our UV-reactive dye to create a selection of exclusive UV cat eye contacts. Arguably providing the most extreme eye transformation you can obtain though coloured contacts, we stock them in designs like yellow cat UV, red cat UV, and white cat UV among others, all of which can be found in our UV contacts category.

Manufactured and hand-printed at a state-of-the-art facility right here in England, like all our design, our cats eye coloured contacts are engineered for maximum comfort and durability. Consisting of 62% polymacon and 38% water, they are soft and lightweight. Packaged as pairs, they come individual sealed in plastic blisters, boast a lifespan of 90 days, and have a recommended wear time of up to eight consecutive hours.

Why do my cat eye contacts keep turning?

Natural eye movements including blinking can cause contact lenses to rotate in the eye, often unbeknown to the wearer. With contacts that have vertical pupils, this movement becomes inherently obvious and can leave the contacts looking misaligned or out of place. However, there is a solution which comes in the form of specialist weighted cat eye contacts. Manufactured with a built-in prism weighted ballast which is concealed within the lens itself, it prevents rotation and, therefore, preserves the unique appearance of the vertical pupil. Significantly more expensive than regular cat eye contacts, they can also be hard to come by.
