Said to have been created in 1810 by a consortium of clothiers who won a competition to design and make a new dress for Queen Charlotte, consort of King George III, royal blue is often confused for navy, but can be differentiated by its noticeably lighter appearance. On that note, the colour that you see here on our royal blue contacts, and that is widely known and recognised as royal blue today is actualy considerably lighter than thetraditional version. Meanwhile, there are also many variations of the colour such as queen blue (previously known as queen’s blue), and imperial blue, both of which are described as moderate blues.

Manufactured from 62% polymacon ad 38% water, they are soft, thin and lightweight which helps to ensure excellent levels of comfort and durability. Sold as a pair, our royal blue coloured contacts have a recommended wear time of up to eight consecutive hours as well as a post-opening lifespan of 90-days.
